Côte d’Ivoire has been announced as hosts of the 2019 edition of the West African Football Union (WAFU) B Women’s Cup of Nations .

The WAFU women’s cup is a women association football competition for home based national teams of the West African Football Union.
This is the second time in a row the francophone nation will host the tournament as it also hosted the maiden edition in 2018 which featured 8 teams, a total of 16 matches and 62 goals recorded.  The tournament was won by the Black Queens of Ghana who defeated Cote d’Ivoire by 1-0.
Cote d’Ivoire is scheduled to play in Group A alongside Benin republic and Senegal for the 2019 tournament while defending champions Ghana has been drawn in Group B, together with Mali, Nigeria, and Guinea.

The 2019 WAFU nations cup is billed for the month of May in Abidjan.
