RAIKKONEN SPOILS HALMINTON PARTY IN TEXAS
Former world champion KIMI RAIKONNEN won his first race in five and a half years, on Sunday in the US GRAND PRIX in TEXAS.
The veteran FINN who finished second in qualifying took advantage of MERCEDES pit stops to claim the leader for most part of the race and eventually won a race widely believed would be won by MERCEDES LEWIS HAMILTON after the four time champion started on pole but ended with the 3rd position while title rival SEBASTIAN VETTEL finished fourth.
The dramatic race saw REDBULL MAX VESTAPPEN finished 3rd on the podium after starting from 18th position.
HAMILTON currently leads his closest rival with 70-point with three races remaining.
The next stop will be the MEXICAN GRAND PRIX.
