Coming from the back of 2 defeats in a roll, Nigeria needed to bounce back against OMAN to stand a chance of picking one of the 6 qualification tickets to the ICC T-20 WORLD CUP in AUSTRALIA come 2020.
Nigeria won the toss for the first time and elected to bat scoring a palsy score of 71 runs all out in 19.5 overs.
DANIEL AJEKUN and SULEIMON RUNSEWE was the only spark in the Nigeria bating line up with 16 and 14 runs respectively.
Captain,ADEMOLA ONIOYI could only manage 10 runs and ISAAC OKPE with 12 runs to round off an unimpressive 1st innings.
AAMIR KALEEM got 4 wickets conceding 14 runs in 4 overs, supported by Bilal Khan got 3 wickets conceding 7 runs in 3.5 overs.
Oman made light work of the run chase as they powered to 64 runs for the loss of 1 wicket in just 5 over.
JATINDER SINGH fell short of his half century after hitting 48 runs from just 22 balls with a strike rate of 218. 18 emerging as the star performer for team OMAN.
The OKPE BROTHERS and SULEIMAN RUNSEWE had the consolation wickets taking 1 at piece to bring the game to an end.
OMAN eventually scored 72 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in 7 overs.
OMAN won by 7 wickets
