Paramount ruler of OKOROTOMU COMMUNITY in KOLOKUMA/OPOKUMA LGA of BAYELSA STATE, HRH ALFRED AKOSUBO,  the AMANANAOWEI of OKOROTOMU COMMUNITY has made a donation of football kits as well as sponsorship for members of the OKOROTOMU FOOTBALL ACADEMY to participate in the forthcoming SPORTS NETWORK RESIDENTIAL FOOTBALL CAMP tagged “UGHELLI 2019”.

Speaking during a short ceremony, the Paramount ruler said he believes that the best way to truly empower the youth is through sports  and  this  is the reason for his donations.

Speaking further, the royal father commended the BOWIE YOUTHS EMPOWERMENT THROUGH SPORTS (BOYETS) projects saying the program will help reduce Crime and Youths Restiveness in his community and the NIGER DELTA REGION in general.

Also speaking at the event, the General Manager of OKOROTOMU FOOTBALL ACADEMY, MR JOHN AKOSUBO, thanked the royal father for the kind gestures while promising that the beneficiaries will be good ambassadors of OKOROTOMU COMMUNITY.

Coach of the team, TIMI AKOSUBO also commended the AMANANAOWEI for the gifts and promised that the team will not let OKOROTOMU COMMUNITY down.

The 4-WEEK SPORTS NETWORK RESIDENTIAL FOOTBALL CAMP is an initiative of the BOWIE NETWORK ENTERPRISE and will hold in UGHELLI, DELTA STATE from JUNE 23RD to JULY 6TH 2019.
