FOOTBALL: OKPOTU TRANSFER SAGA, DIFFA EL JADIDI RISK FIFA HAMMER
Moroccan elite club side, DIFAA EL JADIDI could face the FEDERATION OF INTERNATIONAL FOOTBALL ASSOCIATIONS FIFA sanctions as well as points deductions if they fail to remit to the accounts of LOBI STARS of MAKURDI the sum of $100,000 ( one -hundred thousand dollars only) being payment for the transfer of ANTHONY OKPOTU, this according to www.scoreNigeria.com
This followed a FIFA ruling in favour of the MAKURDI based club on January 21st 2019. The ruling states that the transfer fees be paid within 30days of the FIFA decision.
FIFA also ordered EL JADIDI to pay LOBI STARS a further interest of 5% of the transfer fee for the delay.
According to the source the Moroccan club will also pay FIFA and LOBI STARS 10,000 SWISS FRANC as proceeding costs.
LOBI STARS football club lodged a formal complaint to FIFA in September 2018 after the Moroccan club failed to honour an agreement to pay the agreed transfer within seven days of the receipt of INTERNATIONAL TRANSFER CERTIFICATE (ITC) for OKPOTU.
ANTHONY OKPOTU moved to DIFAA EL JADIDI in July 2018.
